Great Job and thanks for posting this. You are one brave soul to stick your neck out there for your community. By reading this letter I feel there is a lot of mixed emotions.

E-Mail is going out to EACH one of these businesses as a side note if they have an e-mail address. If not, I'll do certified letters as well to make sure they all receive this information.

My next stop is California State with all the businesses down there that carry the product(s) of Moonstruck.

Consider me now the Moonstruck Bully.

Well thanks for stopping by and I appreciate you doing so on here. This is NOT about bullying you, however I would like to have you sell off, auction off all of these products at your earliest. You may call upon http://www.boehmschocolates.com/ for their chocolates if you are in need of a local (WA State supplier) if needbe.

All the best!

Good point! These little stores don't need to be hurt by them anymore than Moonray Espresso does!

Maybe we pressure them to take them OFF the shelves until this thing is settled and ask the retailer to contact Moonstruck and tell them they have removed the product and will not be ordering anymore in the future due to their attack on a non-threatening small business enterprise.

In other words, speak to the heart of the small business owners who are carrying their product, make the small business owner's aware that this could happen to them too.

The point is to get Moonstruck to realize that they can kiss Washington state good-bye unless they leave Moonray alone!

I'd like to add one more thing...the Moonstruck Chocolates already on the independent retailers shelves are already paid for to Moonstruck. Support the items that are on the shelves so your favorite small business can redeem their money already spent.

To post Moonstruck independent retailers and demand their customers stop patronizing their business, to the point of holding signs out infront depicting they harbor a “Corporate Bully” product, isn't the solution nor the route to solving this issue. I am an independent coffee house owner of three years and a previous owner of 10 years of a Graphic Design business. My family of four depends on my hard work each week to support our household. Creating and maintaing a responsible, respectable business is a priority that I uphold with pride and tenacity. The only pocketbook that will be hit by physical onsite protesting is that of the small business owner. Mentioning an opinion is one thing, delegating negative action will only spiral into more negative actions. The message and solution will only work out if the process is handled with maturity, forsight and rationality. I'm quite confident that the small business owners on that Moonstruck list will handle themselves responsibly. The time and effort put forth to creating, starting and maintaining a business, requires a remarkable strength. This is something they/I will handle without the negative protesting infront of their shops. Thank you for this time and forum - Dawn Nielson-Bahma, Stevenson, Wa

Yeah well tell the Dilettante people to feel free to sign up on the forums and we will make them a full listing on there. Once a company needs backup for chocolates, we can point them to the forums and wallah, everyone is peechy.

After we handle this state it's time to move to Oregon and do the same.

I talked to two of the stores yesterday. One was very cautious and said he would consider not carrying the product if his customers requested he do so and/or enough people pressured him and it hurt HIS sales to carry Moonstruck Chocolates. Because he didn't know the whole story, he was cautious but, as a small business owner, he was quite sympathetic.

The other was an employee but she believed the store owner would be sympathetic.

I also call Dilettante Chocolates and talked to the nice girl who answered the phone when I asked for "someone in marketing" (I figure they would have heard about it.)

She thought Moonstruck was out of their ever-lovin' minds and LOVED the suggestion I offer here:

Don't just boycott, REPLACE Moonstruck Chocolates with Dilettante Chocolates! Strike back at Moonstruck and support a Seattle company at the same time.

They are a Seattle company that...oh by the way...has a chain of Mocha Cafes here in Seattle! They've been in business here for years and years before Moonstruck ever existed so who's copying who?

First, Moonstruck Chocolate uses a name that was very, very familiar because of the movie (and their font is virtually identical to the font used on the movie poster...hmmmm.)

NOW, they (probably) want to open Chocolate Cafes in Seattle. Do ya think maybe they copied the whole "Chocolate Cafe" idea from Dilettante in the first place???

I bet you $100 bucks they did. A thousand even.

This is one Corporate Bully that deserves a beating.
